‘MuslimVille Ramadan Competition’ was first organized for children of the Greater Toronto Area in the year 2002. Since then we have been organizing this competition every year and the program has drawn the attention of young boys and girls, and has received appreciation from Muslim parents, teachers and educationists. In 2009 about 700 children from different cities and towns from all over Canada & USA participated in this program.

The aim of this program is to encourage children to be more engaged in Islamic learning and activities during the month of Ramadan. In the month of Ramadan children raise money to sponsor orphans. Through this initiative of the children we are currently sponsoring 24 orphans from Indonesia, Kashmir, Palestine, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bosnia, Kosovo and Kenya.

You can be a part of it
An interested Islamic institution or community may chose to conduct the MuslimVille Ramadan Competition by forming a team of approximately 20 children and contacting MuslimVille.  The effort required to organize the competition in your institution or community is minimal, but the reward is great.  MuslimVille will provide all the logistical support required, including an information newsletter Making my Ramadan Cool.  Please contact MuslimVille (info@muslimville.com) if you are interested in organizing the competition at your institution or community, or if you would like a copy of the newsletter.  Participating institutions will have their contact information available to interested parents and children on our website or on in the newsletter.
