Evaluation for prizes
Participation in Smart-Cool Week, Ramadan Activities Challenge and This Ramadan Sponsor an Orphan will be evaluated based on Reports submitted by participants. Visit www.muslimville.com for prescribed report forms. Grand Prize & Top Prize winners must get at least 80% in the Islamic Knowledge Competition (see below).
Smart-Cool Week (25 marks)
Participants have to designate 7 days of Ramadan (Saturday August 13th to Friday August 19, 2011) as Smart-Cool Week. The aim of this program is to focus on creativity, productivity, and learning by decreasing the amount of time spent watching T.V. and playing video games. Participants are encouraged to make an Islamic project or a creative work and submit it on-line by Visitingwww.mypost.muslimville.com and creating their own blog.
Ramadan Activities Challenge (25 marks)
As part of this program, participants will keep track of all the good activities they do during the month of Ramadan in a Ramadan Activities Challenge Report. They will submit their report at the end of Ramadan. This is to encourage activities such as fasting, praying 5 times a day, memorizing verses from the Quran and supplications, reading Islamic books, volunteering to help the needy, etcetera.
This Ramadan Sponsor an Orphan (25 marks)
This program aims to encourage caring for the less fortunate. Participants are encouraged to collect money which will be used to sponsor orphans around the world. Since 2006, the money collected by the participants has been used to sponsor 27 orphans.
Islamic Knowledge Competition
Participants are encouraged to learn from the Study Notes prepared by MuslimVille. They will be tested on their knowledge, at the end of Ramadan through quiz. This quiz will be verbally over the phone (for JK, SK and Grades 1 & 2) or on-line (for other grades).
Ramadan Study Evaluation Sheet (50 marks)
Participants have to submit Study Evaluation Sheet specific for their grade. This a open book quiz based on the Study notes and Study projects. Participants must understand that they have to answer the questions on their own. The evaluation question sheet must be submitted by August 27th 2011 via mail to: MuslimVille, 66 Commodore Drive, Brampton, ON., L6X 0S6 or scan and e-mail to: [email protected]
Final Evaluation Quiz (50 marks)
The final evaluation will take place at the end of Ramadan on Saturday August 27, 2011 through a final quiz based on the Ramadan study notes. This quiz will be verbally over the phone (for JK, SK and Grades 1 & 2) or on-line (for other grades).
On-line Quiz (for Grade 3 to 8)
There will be an on-line quiz on Saturday August 27, 2011, 10 A.M. EST to 1 P.M.
Participants can start anytime from 10am to 1pm but must finish within 1 hour of the start time.
Visit www.MuslimVille.com for a demo on-line quiz. All Grade 3 to 8 students will be provided with a password to access the quiz.
Over the Phone Quiz (for JK, SK and Grades 1 & 2)
MuslimVille will conduct the quiz over the phone on Saturday August 27, 2011 10 A.M. EST to 1 P.M.
Participants will be contacted by the MuslimVille team during this period of time for the verbal quiz which will take 15 to 20 minutes for each participant. The verbal quiz is a random set of questions and recitations from the study notes.
